School Calendar Survey The Grand Erie District School Board would like to hear from you. The Board will soon begin drafting the 2010-11 school year calendar. The province requires school boards to schedule a minimum of 194 school days during the school year. A school year calendar is made up of instructional and professional activity (PA) days. Due to the late date for Labour Day (September 6, 2010), the Board cannot schedule all the required dates by following a traditional calendar. We would like to gain input from parents and the community on possible scheduling options. No decisions have been made. A tentative calendar will be created that will consider the input we receive through this brief survey. The deadline for responding to the survey is January 8, 2010.
