In the semifinals the Lady Mustangs lost to NPC in a shoot out. They
finished the day meeting Cayuga again in the Consolation Round. Great tournament

Grand Erie Cup - Dec 9, 2009

The Mustangs played 4 games
yesterday at the Grand Erie Cup in Caledonia and were victorious in winning the
trophy for the third straight year. In the first game BCI defeated North Park 4
to 1. Corbett Morrison scored twice, Joey Kitchen and Clayton Chalmers each
scored singles. Assists went to Clayton Chalmers, Joey Vajda, and Quinn
Hasenbacher.
In the second game, BCI defeated Valley Heights 2 to 0. Corbett Morrison and
Andrew Stephenson each scored singles and were assisted by Mitch McIsaac and
Andrew also assisted on the Morrison goal. Garrett Waud earned the shutout. The
semi final saw BCI defeat Simcoe Composite 2 to 1. Chris Cain scored both goals
assisted from Joey Kitchen. In the championship game BCI defeated Port Dover 2
to 0. Goal scorers were Ryan Blunt and Andrew Stephenson. Assists went to Joey
Kitchen, Corbett Morrison and Stephenson assisting on the Blunt goal. Braun
Avarell and Garrett Waud shared the shutout. Well done and great effort by all.
The mustangs are in action Thursday against North Park at the Gretzky Centre.

The Mustangs hockey team played North Park
Thursday at the Gretzky Centre and won 2 to 1. Great effort from everyone. Goal
scorers were Chris Cain and Corbett Morrison.
Dec 17, 2009 - BCI VS NPC
BCI defeated Assumption by a score of 1 to 0. Assumption did not show so they
forfeited. Goal scorer was Kelly Mitchell from Kalvin Braund. Also would just
like to thank both the Brant News for their excellent picture in today's paper
and coverage on the website and also to the Expositor for doing a great job
reporting on our games. The guys really appreciate the coverage and seeing their
names and pictures in the paper. Have a great Christmas and Happy New Year.
Jan 7, 2010 - BCI VS PJC
B.C.I Mustangs were defeted 5-2 by the Pauline Johnson Thunderbirds
yesterday at the Gretzky center. Goal scorers for P.J. were Dan Greenwood,
Cale Biurbridge with 2, Kyle Anderson and Adam Wood. B.C.I. goals were
scored by Andrew Stephanson and Ryan Blunt.
Jan 12, 2010 - BCI VS NPC
Bci lost 3 to 2 to ACS. Scorers for ACS. Eric Lucente scored 2 and Scott
Pagett one. Cole Vinnai Tim Barbarian Owen Meredith and Peter Jaiveck drew
assists. For BCI. Joey Kitchen scored 2 and assists went to Clayton Chalmers
Kyle Giancola Chance Hasenbacher and Ryan Blunt.
Excellent effort in the second and third periods by the mustangs. Assumption
had very few shots in the third
Jan 19, 2010 - BCI VS SJC
The Mustangs played St Johns at the Gretzky Centre and tied the Eagles 2 to
2. Excellent effort by everyone. Great playmaking by Joey Kitchen Andrew
Stephenson and Chance Hasenbacher. Garrett Waud was solid stopping the
eagles attack. Keep skating guys, continue to work hard and get to the net.

Feb 4, 2010 - Holy Trinity Tournament
The BCI Mustangs boys hockey team played in the Holy Trinity hockey
tournament in Simcoe yesterday and successfully won the consolation final
defeating Port Dover 3 to 1. The first game of the tournament went to a
shootout after the game was tied 4 to 4. The Mustangs narrowly lost after
North Park went ahead by a single goal to win. In the second game BCI
defeated Holy Trinity by a score of 9 to 4. Goal scorers throughout the
tournament were
Ryan Blunt with 2 goals, Joey Kitchen with 5 goals, Andrew Stephenson with 2
goals, Kelly Mitchell with 2 goals, Chance Hasenbacher with 2 goals, Zach
Morrison with 2 goals, and Kyle Giancola netting one..
Assists went to Andrew Stephenson with 5 assists, Chris Cain with 2 assists,
Clayton Chalmers with 4 assists, Zach Morrison with 3 assists, Caine Chapman
with 1 assist, Joey Kitchen with 1 assist, Joe Vajda with 1 assist,Chance
Hasenbacher with 2 assists, Kelly Mitchell with 2 assists, Sam Matthew with
1 assist, Mitch McIsaac with 1 assist, and Garrett Waud assisted on 2 goals
against Port Dover in the final. Excellent effort guys! The Mustangs will be
in action next week against Assumption and PJ.
Feb 9, 2010 - BCI vs ACS
The mustangs played a hard battle against Assumption yesterday at Lions Park
but were defeated 5 to 2. The Mustangs started the game falling behind 2 to
0 early in the game but fought back to tie the Lions 2 to 2 going into the
third period.
Goal scorers for the Mustangs were, Chance Hasenbacher assisted from Kyle Giancola, and Corbett Morrison returning after a lengthy injury scored assisted from Joey Vajda and Chance Hasenbacher.
Despite the loss it was a good effort by all. Kyle "G"ovechkin played a solid game along with Joey Kitchen, Zach Morrison, and Ryan Blunt. The Mustangs wrap up their regular season against PJ on Thursday at 4 pm at the Gretzky Centre.
Feb 22, 2010 - BCI vs SJC
The BCI Mustangs defeated the St. Johns Green
Eagles 4 to 2 in a hard fought game yesterday at the Gretzky Centre. St.
Johns opened the scoring early in the first period. The Mustangs fought hard
to even the score before heading into the second period when Andrew
Stephenson scored from Corbett Morrison, and Chance Hasenbacher.
In the second period, Joey Kitchen put the Mustangs ahead assisted from Ryan
Blunt, and Corbett Morrison.
Corbett then fired a beautiful shot to beat the St. Johns goalie and put the
Mustangs with a comfortable 2 goal lead assists went to Zach Morrison, and
Ryan Blunt. St. Johns scored another goal when BCI had 2 players in the
penalty box. Joey Kitchen scored into an empty net late in the third period
after St. Johns pulled their goalie in a last ditch effort.
Great effort from Cain Chapman, Quinn Hasenbacher, Kyle "G", and Kalvin
Braund.
Garrett Waud was solid between the pipes and stopped a barrage of shots.
The Mustangs now advance to the finals on Thursday against Assumption at 4
pm. Come on out and support your team!
March 9, 2010 - CWOSSA
The Mustangs played 2 hard fought games at CWOSSA against the #1 seeded
Orangeville Bears, and the #4 seed Forest Heights Trojans but lost both
games. In the first game, Corbett Morrison scored the lone goal assisted
from Clayton Chalmers. Despite the losses, the Mustangs played two excellent
games. The coaches want to thank all the fans who made the trip to Fergus.
Also a huge thanks to the following players for making this the best season
in Boys Hockey.
