Brantford Collegiate Institute is a full service high school in the community of Brantford, Ontario, Canada.

The main part of the school (pictured here) was built in 1910, facilities have been added to the school over the years, most notably in the 1960's and 1970's. The school is now being reconstructed in two phases.  The first phase involves the reconstruction of the 1910 building, along with the addition of new space behind this structure.  The second phase will involve the rehabilitation of the 1960's wing.  Construction is to be completed in the summer of 2010, just in time for BCI's 100th anniversary.  BCI is a part of the Grand Erie District School Board.

BCI has a student population of approximately 1100 students in grades 9 to 12. During construction students are attending school in the 1960's wing and at Victoria School, a former elementary school three blocks from the main campus.

BCI offers courses in academics, applied courses as well as technological skills courses, the arts, music, and dramatic arts. BCI offers a full slate of extra-curricular activities including many championship sports teams.  BCI also offers special programs in certain skill areas, such as co-operative education, French language immersion courses, the Laurier program in conjunction with Laurier Brantford, and the new Performance Arts/Production Arts High Skills Major program.

  BCI Mission Statement
At Brantford Collegiate Institute and Vocational School we believe that dignity and respect should govern all behaviour, that all can learn and that each person has worth.

Each person at BCI & VS has the opportunity to grow in a safe and friendly environment, where discipline is not repressive, but rather assumes that students and staff will react respectfully and with common sense. We individualize and humanize curriculum to meet the needs of all students. While academic achievement is the central focus, extra curricular participation is a key ingredient in the life of this school.. We value each individual, and encourage all to be creative and to take risks. By setting goals and standards, which are attainable, and by learning decision-making skills we cultivate self-esteem. Within this traditional school setting, students become more aware of social, environmental and world issues. Achievement, effort, excellence, participation and citizenship are rewarded at BCI & VS, as students prepare to assume a responsible position in society. Our common goal is growth, growth in knowledge, skills, positive attitudes, self worth and self-discipline.

These are not only the ideals of our school but also those of our community.
