The Mustangs Senior
football team played their first game of the season Sept
16th winning 18 -0 over St John's.
Kenzie Kelly threw for one touchdown pass of 40 yards to John Archibald. Joey Kitchen scored the other touchdown on a 35 yard interception and run. Daltan Bage kicked a field goal and one single. Brent Dinsmore scored the other on a punt single. Kyle giancola led the running game rushing for over 100 yards. Jimmy Scheel, Stevan Campbell, Tyler Mirco and Garrett Waud played well defensively. |

The juniors lost their
game 39 -0.
The score was not indicative of the play. The score was only 14 -0 at the half. Brad Winch led the offenses running game. Landon Wilcock played well at quarterback. Mitch McIsaac lead the receivers. The defense was lead by Mitch Yemm, Colton Dennis and Logan MacRitchie. Good luck next week against Paris. |

The Junior colts were in
action last evening losing 16 - 6 to Paris. The game was a
closely tested match right up until the last whistle. Brad
Winch scored Bci's touchdown on a 7 yard run. Outstanding
players were Mitch Yemm, Casey Bouk and Mathieu
Pare. |

in football action on Saturday versus the North Park
Trojans. The mustangs were victorious by a 28 - 14 score.
Kyle Giancola rushed for 4 touchdowns in the game. Daltan
Bage kicked 4 converts. Kenzie Kelly had an outstanding game
leading the offense. He spread the ball around to all his
receiving core. Joey Kitchen and Jimmy Scheel each
intercepted a pass and had many tackles. Alex White, Joseph
Yelle, Tyler Mirco, T.J. Harrington and Kelly Mitchell also
had good games.

The Junior Colts played
their best game of the season but in a losing cause. The
final score was 26 - 23 for PJ. Brad Winch scored the first
touchdown of the game on a 25 yard scamper. PJ began to
build a lead and was ahead 26-9 after a Jeremy Gooden 25
yard field goal. In the fourth quarter BCI made a fierce
comeback lead by 2 rushing touchdowns by determined Brodie
Parker. Both touchdowns were converted by Jeremy Gooden. The
colts were much improved on the grid iron. Ethan McClure,
Casey Bouk, Mathieu Pare (2 fumble recoveries) , Eric Yelle
and Pearce Flynn played well defensively. Better luck next
week when we host the SJC eagles at the gretzky center at
8pm on Oct 21st.

The senior Mustangs
football team improved their record to 3wins and 0 Losses.
The mustangs started slow last night in very cold and windy
conditions. PJ scored the first 10 points before Kenzie
Kelly scored a touchdown on a quarterback sneak. PJ lead 10
- 7 at the half. A Miss handled snap lead to another major
as Joey Kitchen recovered it and ran 30 yards for a
touchdown. Justin Dennis rushed well during the game and
scored a touchdown as well. Daltan Bage converted all the
scores. The defense played extremely well. Tyler Mirco
intercepted a pass. T.J. Harrington recovered a fumble and
Alex White recovered two fumbles. Mark Opper, Joseph Yelle
and Garrett Waud had outstanding games as well. Next action
Tuesday night Oct 20th at 8pm at the gretzky center versus
SJC.

The Mustangs senior
football team suffered their first loss last night 27 - 7
versus St John's. The mustangs could not sustain a
consistent offensive output trailing from the very beginning
of the game. The halftime score was 13 - 1. The defense
showed a vulnerability to the big play and gave up three
long touchdown passes. Kyle Giancola scored the lone
touchdown on a 1 yard plunge late in the third quarter.
Garrett Waud, Jimmy Scheel and Brent Dinsmore played well
defensively. Marc Opper recovered a fumble and Brent
intercepted a pass. Come out on Friday evening at 7pm as BCI
plays the assumption lions at the Gretzky complex. The
winner of this game will be in first place.

The Colts showed great
heart and determination and played hard from the opening
whistle until the final siren but unfortunately it was not
good enough to earn a victory from a talented St John's
team. The score was 43 - 0. The offense was lead by strong
running from Mitch Yemm and Brad Winch. They did not fumble
or be intercepted but could not muster any sustained drives
to earn any points. The defense was lead by Eric Lickers,
Eric Yelle, Kalvin Eagen, Mitch Yemm and Mathieu Pare.
Colton Dennis ran the ball well on kickoff returns. The
Colts will play their last game of the season next wednesday
Oct28th, at the gretzky complex versus North Park at 8pm.

The senior Mustangs
played in the Homecoming football game last Friday evening
in front of many wet but enthusiastic fans. The mustangs
defeated the Assumption Lions 12 - 2. Daltan Bage started
the scoring by kicking a 25 yard field goal in the first
quarter. The next scoring came from Cam Dawson who took a
pass from quarterback Kenzie Kelly and ran for a touchdown.
The play was 45 yards in total. Daltan converted the
touchdown. Alex white rounded out the scoring by earning a
safety after he tackled an assumption player in the endzone.
Alex White also recovered a fumble and played a strong
defensive game. The only points scored by Assumption came on
a safety. BCI constantly kept the Lions at bay by pinning
them deep in their own zone. Daltan Bage and John Archibald
had outstanding games catching and running with the ball
after the catches. Justin Dennis and Kyle Giancola ran the
ball effectively at times. The defense were outstanding
limiting the assumption offense to just a few first downs.
Outstanding defensive players were Tyler Mirco, Stevan
Campbell, Garrett Waud, Jimmy Scheel, Kelly Mitchell, T.J
Harrington, Derek Henderson and Joey kitchen. This places
the mustangs in first place with one game remaining. They
will play North Park on wednesday Oct 28th at 6pm. this game
will be followed by the Juniors at 8pm.

The junior colts were in
action last evening as well ending their regular season with
a gutsy performance versus a playoff bound team North Park.
The Trojans started quickly scoring on two long drives to
lead 14-0. This was the cue for the Colts to begin scoring.
Landon Wilcock threw a touchdown pass in the second quartet
to Mitch McIsaac and Jeremy Gooden converted the major to
trail by only 7. Late in the quarter after the Trojans
turned the ball over the colts scored a 25 yard field goal
kicked by Jeremy Gooden to narrow the score to 14 - 10 at
half time. Brad winch had 2 long touchdown runs called back
because of penalties . The second half saw North Park build
their lead back up to 28 - 10. But the colts were a
resilient bunch this night. Late in the half Brad Winch ran
for a touchdown on a 70 yard run reducing the lead to 28 -
16. The team recovered the kick off setting up a late
scoring opportunity. The game ending with a pass attempt
from the 20 that narrowly missed the receiver for a game en
ding touchdown. Colton Dennis returned a kick off all the
way down to the 20 yard line. Mitch Yemm played a solid 2
way game rushing the ball well as well as playing great
defense. Eric Lickers, Casey Bouk, Eric Yelle, Pearse Flynn,
Logan Mac Ritchie, and Ethan McClure played great defensive
games. The colts would like to thank all the loyal fans that
came out to support the team over the season.

20 - 7
The senior Mustangs
football team was in action last evening. They were
victorious defeating the North Park Trojans 20 - 7. The
Mustangs end the regular season in first place with a 4 and
1 record. The mustangs started slowly but eventually getting
to a 14 - 0 lead by half time. Numerous penalties stalled
promising drives. Kenzie Kelly threw a touchdown pass to
John Archibald and Kyle Giancola. Kyle also scored a
touchdown rushing the ball in the third quarter. 2 converts
were kicked by Daltan Bage. The mustangs caused a few
turnovers on there way to dominating the North Park offense.
T.J. Harrington intercepted a pass and played well
defensively as did Mark Opper, Derek Henderson, Garrett
Waud, Brent Dinsmore, Joey Kitchen and Kelly Mitchell. The
Mustangs will play next tueday evening Nov 3rd at 8:00pm
versus the Pauline Johnson Thunderbirds at the gretzky
fields in semi-final playoff action.

The senior football
mustangs were victorous in their semi-final game last
evening scoring a 9 - 1 victory over the Pauline Johnson
Thunderbirds. The offense was lead Kyle Giancola's and
Justin Dennis' strong running. Quarterback Kenzie Kelly
played a strong game throwing many passes to receivers
Justin Tinevez and John Archibald. Kyle scored the only
touchdown of the game early in the third Quarter to cap a 80
yard drive. Defensively the entire team were outstanding.
Stevan Campbell scored a safety after sacking the Pj
quarterback in the endzone early in the game. Jimmy Scheel
intercepted a pass late in the game ending all hope for the
thunderbirds. Garrett Waud, Derek Henderson, Tyler Mirco,
Mark Opper, Brent Dinsmore, and Joey kitchen Also played
well. The championship game will be played on sunday at
1:00pm versus St. John's. Come out to cheer the team to
victory.

The senior Mustangs football team played their city championship game on Sunday. Unfortunately they were defeated 16-11. After trailing 16-0 at the half the mustangs showed grit and determination to comeback and still have a chance to win it late in the game. Justin Dennis scored a touchdown. Kyle Giancola scored a two point convert and Daltan Bage Kicked a field goal. The Mustangs would like to thank all the support they had from their fans all year.
