Needs Assessment Survey Results

           The Needs Assessment Survey was prepared and conducted by the Suicide Intervention Team at Dunnville Secondary School in 2006. 463 students participated in the school wide survey. 221 were male and 242 were female. 50% were 15 or younger and the other 50% were 16 or older.
           24% of the people said they had someone bring up the topic of suicide with them who they thought might be at risk. 51% of people did not and the other 25% didn't know. 62% of the people that did have someone talk to them about suicide felt confident that they had enough knowledge to assist the person in finding help. 18% did not and the other 20% didn't know.
           29% of people thought they would find it helpful for there to be more supports available in the Dunnville area. 25% did not and the other 46% didn't know.

The Needs Assessment Survey was prepared and conducted by the Suicide Intervention Team at Dunnville Secondary in March of 2004. 498 students participated in the school wide survey.
