Please read the following information very carefully.

In order to receive your diploma at Commencement you must have completed all of the credits required for your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) by the end of August. You must notify the Guidance Department or Mrs. Dennis of any credits you plan to take over the summer before you leave the school in June.

The graduation fee is $20.00 which includes rental gown, memento cap and tasselwith gold year-date pendant.

Cecil Montour Bursary ($300) - for a Grade 12 male who is continuing his education and who has a relative belonging to the legion or auxiliary. (Please ask for application form.)

Gordon Davison Bursary ($300) - for a Grade 12 student who is continuing his/her education and who has a relative belonging to the legion or auxiliary. (Please ask for application form)

Chartwell's Dining Services Bursary ($150) - for a graduating student who is continuing his/her post-secondary education in the field of Food & Hotel Management.

Ron Hagan Memorial Scholarship (monitary amount fluctuates with interest rate) - for a graduating student who combines the qualities of good citizenship and leadership with academic excellence in History and the Social Sciences and who intends to pursue his/her studies at a post-secondary institution.

H.S.S. Staff Award ($100) - for an all-round student involved in the school and the community. The student must be a civic-minded individual.

Rodger Mackereth Scholarship (monitary amount fluctuates with interest rate) - awarded to two graduates entering a post-secondary institution. Each student must be a graduate of Jarvis Public School.

Chamber of Commerce Award ($100) - awarded to a graduate who has successfully completed 4 business courses and intends to enrol in a business degree course at a post-secondary institution.

Townsend Lions Community Volunteer Bursary ($100) - awarded to a graduate who has shown dedication through community volunteer work.

Dr. W. C. Powell Award (monitary amount fluctuates with interest rate) - awarded to a graduating student who is an overall good student and has worked hard to achieve good marks, has definite goals about what they want to do in their future and are attending post-secondary institution in pursuit of those goals.

OPG Achievement Award ($250) - awarded to 2 graduating students pursuing post-secondary education with specific focus in engineering/Engineering Technology (including skilled trades - electrician, industrial millwright, stationary engineering, science, Information Technology, Environmental Science, Business) Student must have a minimum of a B average, participate in extra-curricular activities/volunteer. (Please ask for an application form)

Halidmand-Norfolk Credit Union Silver Anniversary Bursary ($100) - awarded to two community- minded graduates who are planning to attend college or university. (Please include a description of your community involvement.)

I.O.O.F. Equity Lodge 232 Club Bursary (monitary amount fluctuates with interest rate) - for a graduate who is an all-round student with good academic marks and who is planning to attend university.

H.S.S. Reunion Alumni Awards ($1000) - awarded to two graduating students who have made an outstanding contribution to the school and the community

Haldimand Federation of Agriculture Scholarships - awarded to two Haldimand students entering a recognized Agricultural College in Ontario. Applicants with an agricultural background will be given preference. (Please ask for an application form.)

Don Butler Memorial Bursary ($500) - for an all-round student who attended J.C. Hill Elementary School.

The Brian Whitman Award ($500) awarded to a graduating student who has at least 80% average in English and a 75% overall average and has qualities of individuality, leadership, participated in co-curricular activities and shown academic achievement. (See Mr. Whitman for application)

Mohawk Remanufacturing Bursary ($1000) awarded to a graduating aboriginal student who was enrolled in the co-operative education program and who is continuing their education in a trade. (1 Page essay required)
