Welcome to Valley Heights Secondary School - Home of the Bears.

VHSS is a unique school which offers a variety of unique programs designed to help our students achieve their future goals -- regardless of which career destination they may choose.

With 600 students on our register, we offer a full academic program delivered during the day, during night school and through e-learning. In addition, we offer a full complement of technological education options from auto to communications to hospitality. Students also take advantage of our Coop, OYAP, and Turning Point programs which allow them to gain work experience and apprenticeship hours while also earning credits.

In terms of extracurricular activities, VHSS students can participate in a wide range of interschool sports (e.g. football, basketball, volleyball, hockey ...) and school clubs (e.g. band, drama, welding, spirit ...) Our VHSS fans are resilient and their spirit never wanes when it comes to our teams as evidenced by our 2nd place finish at the 2008 Fair for Special Effects. When our teams make the finals the Bear's fans usually out-roar all others -- even when we are playing in the competition's gymnasium.

Valley Heights staff and students pride themselves on their rural roots and the are a respecful and caring community. To be a Bear means to take pride in what you do and to give back to others.
